Our experience at this dealership was unexpectantly extremely pleasant. Most salesmen are pushy and relentless but Harry, our salesman, was genuinely helpful and patient. He stayed late to answer all of our questions and wasn't pushy when we told him we had to sleep on it. My husband had to have a black truck and I had to have leather and the dealership didn't have this exact truck. Harry and his team were accommodating and made a trade with another dealership to ensure we purchased the exact truck we wanted. Stacy, the finance director, was great. I called ahead to make an appointment with a sales manager and was greeted when I walked in the door.  I was immediately taken to Tom Friedman my sales person and we discussed the Camaro I was looking for.  Tom could not have been a nicer or more knoweledgable sales person.  And, being a female didn't faze him one bit.  He and I could have talked hot rods all day.  I will never forget Tom's face when we went on my test drive and I put the pedal down.  He was having as much fun as I was in a car with 426 horse power.  After a bit of negotiating we finished up with Doug... since I was paying cash there wasn't much need to go over any kind of financing and what not.  I purchased the warranties that I wanted and that was it.  When Tom handed me the keys to my 2013 Camaro SS I took him by surprise and threw myself in his arms.  Good thing he's a big guy and was able to take the huge hug I gave him.  My husband thought Tom's expression was hilarious.  I'm a Chevy girl and will most likely never go anywhere else for my future vehicles.  Thanks Tom, you're the best.

Top notch service.
They don't do EXTRA work....just what is needed and always give a heads up if you need to watch something that may require attention. They explain things well, which is always a good sign. If the mechanic can't explain something well to an average person, he probably isn't very good at his job. These guys are good.

I have lived in Tracy since 2008, and I'm a GM owner from way back but never had much interaction with Tracy Chevrolet until recently. Note - I am a former Licensed AIR Emissions tech so know a little bit about automotive technology.

First, in April I bought a used Chevy Cruze from Tracy Chevrolet, and I was treated well and fairly. I had a choice of a new 2012 Cruze ECO or a lightly used 2011 Cruze RS for about the same base price. I took the used RS as it had a nicer interior, wheels and tires, and I commute a long way so the extra creature comforts were worth the sacrifice in a few MPG less than the ECO. Now, the real important story:
My other car is "Bessie", a 2006 Saturn VUE V6 AWD which I bought new from a dealer in Fremont which later closed up in the great recession. Bessie has always been a great vehicle, dependable, and useful, with good power and reasonable fuel efficiency.
The car was serviced at Saturn of Pleasanton (CA) a few times before they reverted to a GM dealership and lost the Saturn nameplate. Before I got to 100K Miles I noticed two issues with the car, neither one a show-stopper but noticeable:  1 was the engine seemed to have an issue with an unsteady idle especially on cold mornings. It wouldn't stall, but the RPM's would surge between 350 and 750 when I pulled up to stop at an intersection, or similar. It acted a bit like a vacuum problem. The other issue was a funky "shudder" and occasional "clang Clang Clang" at about 1400 RPM's, 23-28 MPH, in 4th gear. At about 100K Miles (early 2012) I had the Timing Belt (and tensioner and water pump and plugs) changed which "sort of" made that idling issue a little less noticeable, but it did not get rid of that funky shudder.  I had just put about $2K into new tires, a timing belt and all, so was concerned that the transmission might be going out at which point I'd have to decide whether or not  to throw more money into Bessie than it would be worth to keep her.  I read on http://Edmunds.com that there might have been a recall for the Torque Converter for my year VUE, and also an ECU Re-programming that might change the RPM at which the Torque Converter kicks in. apparently this shudder I was feeling was the subject of a Customer Satisfaction Program.
I brought Bessie in to Tracy Chevrolet and spoke with Ryan Ford and Todd Tannahill about the shudder and they confirmed the Customer Satisfaction program did affect my car and VIN #, so I made arrangements to bring her in on a Saturday to see if this would fix the problem.
Sure enough, this powertrain control unit re-programming FIXED the problem, and it even fixed the funky engine RPM surge/sag issue which seemed like it was related to engine vacuum. This is what I would call success. I'm really pleased with the way everything turned out, and this is why I'm writing this review for Tracy Chevrolet today. Ryan Ford and Todd Tannahill took care of me like family and they exemplified what is great about their dealership, their service department, and GM in general.
At a small dealer in a town of 80,000 trying to compete which much larger establishments only 25 miles away (in Pleasanton, arguably a suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area) the service department can make a huge impact on the overall impression on the folks in the community, and this is key to their continued success and growth. Having worked in customer service and support I know it's very difficult to please everyone, but Ryan and Todd and Tracy Chevrolet really hit it out of the park in my case and I'm looking forward to doing business with them in the future.

Driving up from Los Angeles, I broke down in Los Banos in the early morning of Wednesday at 05:00. Having my truck towed up to Tracy on a flat-bed, this extremely friendly gentleman comes out and can see the distress I was in. Ryan professionally greeted himself and even showed compassion by helping me and the tow truck driver unload my truck safely. I expected the professionalism, but I did not expect Ryan to be as friendly as he was and completely hands-on from tow-in to pick up...
 
A day goes by and Ryan called to tell me the news about a bad Transfer Case. Ryan's attitude towards helping me find cost saving solutions made me feel completely like he was on my team, which in return allowed me to feel stress-free. I cannot tell you how much this was important to me at the time. You see, I was in a Paramedics seminar giving a lecture on connecting to patients and helping patients feels safe, relaxed, stress-free, and confident that they are in good hands during their crises. At the end of my lecture, I shared my experience about Tracy Chevrolet, Ryan Ford. I was in a crises and Ryan stepped up and helped me feel relaxed, safe and ensured I was in good hands. In my opinion, Ryan Ford went way beyond the call of duty of his roll as a service tech and should be rewarded for his major roll in Customer Service. When I went to drive back to LA, I noticed some fresh oil outside the Transfer Case. I drove back to Tracy Chevrolet and Ryan check it personally himself. He came back to me with greasy hands and ensured me it was safe and explained to me it was just a seal that had some remnants. Ryan wanted to ensure I was safe and the repair was satisfactory according to Tracy Chevrolet's standards. Wow! I was impressed!!!
 
In closing, I am safely back in Los Angeles and wanted to extend my extreme gratitude for Ryan Ford.

We always seem to end up at Tracy Chevy. We just bought our 3rd car from them.. after many trips to other places,I called John and he was the only saleman that listened to our needs and found exactly what we needed.. We arrived Sunday and John was with another client and had Cindy help us. OMG she was wonderful. Tracy Chevy is very luck to have 2 great sales people that really care about their customers.. Stacy in finance was so good at her job. Made things so easy and pain less. As a recent widow left with two vehicles, I decided to find one vehicle to meet my needs.  This was my first "alone" purchase, so I did LOTS of research online and in consumer magazines to insure I was getting a vehicle that is safe, reliable and highly rated, along with having a few specifics like GPS, ease of entry and a remote start.  I began my search with the dealerships I knew, but didn't find the exact vehicle I wanted.  I went to Tracy Chevrolet because I'd heard Dave Reynolds, Service Advisor, had recently transferred to Tracy Chevrolet from another dealership and I was confident if I found the right vehicle Dave would take care of me on the service side.

Dave introduced me to Doug Wilson, Sales Manager, who put me in contact with Tom Friedman, Sales Representative, and at the end of 2 weeks I now have the vehicle I wanted, at a price I can afford, with payments that fit into my budget. I purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox.  Saying the process was easy would be a lie.  Tom, Doug and Stacy Foreman, Finance Director, worked very hard to find me a vehicle that met all my criteria.  That meant working with other dealers in the area and really "beating the bushes".  In the end patience and perseverence prevailed.  

If there were more than 5 stars to give this team of professionals, I would.  Not only did they do their jobs, they went a few extra miles to insure I was well taken care of.  Stacy processed my paperwork quickly and answered all my questions in a way that was easy to understand.  She also did a great job "holding my hand" when I confessed my nervousness at making such a big decision alone.  Her "bedside manner" was very calming and was exactly what I needed at the time.

Tom contacted me every day or so to keep me abreast of how the "search" for the right car was going, and when the day arrived -- yesterday to be exact -- for me to pick up my new Equinox, it was prepped and ready to go.  He walked me through many of the basics in the vehicle, helped me register with ONSTAR, and even spoke briefly with my Mom in Minnesota when we tested the system.  At 84 years old, she was puzzled, but also pleased I was so well taken care of.  Earlier today he called to check on me.  I'd told him I was taking my "maiden voyage" to the SF Bay Area today, using my new GPS and he wanted to know how the trip went.  (It went well and I used the GPS to and from my destination.)

I don't plan on buying another vehicle for many years -- the vehicle I sold before this purchase was a 1997 -- but I will recommend Tracy Chevrolet to anyone who is considering purchasing a vehicle.

Easy and completely painless experience for a first-time buyer. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had been saving my money for a good amount of time to get my first car from a dealer.

I see a great car with reasonable mileage, the color I want, and it was a manual...Perfect for me. So I call the dealership and get Harry. I tell him about the car I had wanted and he said, "I will set the car aside in the shade and put the keys in my pocket." That was so helpful because it felt like hell on earth that day.

I had no intention of actually buying the car right then and there, I just wanted to test it to see if I had liked it.

So I take a look at it and he tells me, "Take it for a whirl." My friend and I are in the car testing it out, doing all the stuff you need to. Test the brakes, test all the electronics in the car, test the air conditioning. AC was in prestene condition I'd say. She asks me, although knowing my answer, "You like it?" Of course I say yes.

We come back and they run the paperwork to see if I qualify (keep in mind, I'm 22 with only 2 1/2 years of credit). The sales manager told me with me being able to keep a job as long as I have and have pretty good credit for the length that I have had it, there is no reason I would haven't qualified. Even though I didn't get the greatest interest rate, I'm young, I know I will buy another car in the future, so it will only help me in the long run.

I was very happy with how I was treated and delt with for my first purchase. I would definitely recommend Tracy Chevrolet. Hell, my fiance even wants to come in and get a truck :)

 I started off looking for a car on the internet, and made contact with Doug Wilson, the Internet Sales Manager at Tracy Chevrolet. He was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. He didn't have the exact car and features I wanted, but was able to loacte one nearby and do an inventory trade with the other dealer. He gave me the price I wanted, let us go for a test drive ALONE (unheard of!!!), and was never pushy or high-pressure. Stacy Foreman in the finance department was likewise pleasant and non-pushy. She even helped me to get a rebate on the warranty that hadn't expired yet on my trade-in! The manager stopped by twice to personally thank us for our business. All in all a totally satisfying experience. I drove down from Sacramento to make the deal and am 100% glad that I did - the extra drive was well worth it. They detailed the car for us and filled the tank with gas. A+++

Excellent Experience at Tracy Chevrolet I have purchased 3 cars from the dealership since they opened under the new management. The Sales force is very friendly and the Customer Service Department I thought was very professional. I was given several options on warranties and after reading what each one covered I bought warranties for 2 of the vehicles I purchased. The Service dept. at this Dealership is very Professional and very helpful. My cars are fixed correctly the first time and i always recieve a phone call updating me of my repair cost and options. Car buying is never really something anyone looks forward to but, all 3 times i walked away feeling i had been treated fairly. Keep up the good work Guys.

 LOVE RYAN and the service department at Tracy Chevrolet!!!  On Christmas Eve, I was out doing some last minute shopping and found myself on empty (gas light on).  I went to the gas station to purchase fuel but while there my locking gas cap broke off - leaving the screw portion of the cap lodged in where the nozzle would go.  PANICKED and 4:45pm - I IMMEDIATELY rushed over to Tracy Chevrolet and told them of my issue.  Ryan took my vehicle into the service bay and had the rest of the cap removed and installed a new gas cap for me...I was in and out in less than 15 minutes!!!
I have been servicing my Trailblazer there since I purchased it and will continue to do so!! I am so THANKFUL for their consistent customer service.  Thanks Ryan -- You allowed me to have a stressFREE Christmas Eve -- You Rock!!!

Sales manager was very helpful and went over and above expectations during this whole transaction. He was and is highly professional, courteous, and is a man of his word.  That's pretty rare in car sales/ Service manager Ryan Ford is very helpful and friendly as well. He informed me of what was being done on my vehicle, how long it should take to complete, and did follow up when it took longer than expected. He seemed to care about getting me into my vehicle as soon as possible. The sales rep was very helpful and informative, obviously a people person, and was eager to help in any way possible. He made the sale easy and enjoyable. For the life of me I can’t remember the woman's name in finance, I believe it is Stacey. She guided me through the financing easily, explained all the options available, genuinely cared for my satisfaction in this sale and gave me opportunity to ask questions.
